Order Management Specialist will interact with customers to answer questions about products, services, & delivery options, ensure that customer orders are appropriately entered into the order management system, and arrange/monitor shipments according to the availability and customer requirements.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Responsible for all aspects of order processing, including receiving, reviewing and processing of all sales orders accurately and timely.
- Track inventory levels to ensure that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
- Enter order details into ERP system accurately.
- Process customer purchase orders through EDI.
- Process orders in 3rd party portals and websites.
- Communicate with 3rd party warehouses on order updates and changes.
- Communicate with customers about order status and shipping details as required.
- Issue sales invoices to customers.
- Answer questions about order status, shipment schedules, and product information to help resolve customer concerns.
- Review order forms to ensure that all required information has been provided.
- Communicate with other cross-functional departments to obtain product information or status updates on orders.
- Answer questions about company’s products or services offered to potential customers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and best practices.
- Perform other projects/duties as assigned.
Skills/ Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in order management, sales, or related fields.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent business etiquette skills and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to resolve issues and understand inter-related sources of information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). ERP system proficiency preferred.
