Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in laboratory techniques and a thorough understanding of physiology. This role involves conducting various laboratory tests, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. The Laboratory Technician will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals and providing excellent patient service.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures with precision and accuracy.
  • Collect blood samples through venipuncture and other methods while adhering to aseptic techniques.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is properly calibrated and functioning.
  • Document test results accurately and maintain comprehensive records in accordance with medical terminology standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of specimens for analysis, ensuring proper labeling and handling.
  • Provide support to patients during sample collection, ensuring comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret test results and provide insights as needed.
  • Uphold laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.

Skills

  • Proficient in various laboratory techniques, including blood sampling and phlebotomy.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent patient care skills with a focus on providing exceptional patient service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare team members.
  • Familiarity with laboratory equipment operation and maintenance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
