Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Publisher Development Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for forming new publisher partnerships, aligning supply-side revenue opportunities with the shape of our DSP demand, and enhancing our overall omnichannel and endemic publisher strategy aligned with overall DSP strategy.
You will be driving all facets of the publisher development cycle from prospecting, closing, and relationship management to get our new publisher partners launched and on a path to a successful partnership.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of our publisher development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a robust publisher development strategy aimed at driving revenue growth and strengthening partnerships, with a specific emphasis on endemic publishers.
- Expand our publisher network across targeted lists to support PulsePoint's omnichannel strategy and capabilities.
- Identify supply requirements and establish metrics to evaluate partnership potential.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of supply-side dynamics within the ad tech ecosystem.
- Negotiate publisher agreements, facilitate legal processes for contract execution, and manage the publisher pipeline.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing publishers, providing ongoing support to PulsePoint’s Publisher Management and Technical Partner Management teams.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to uncover new opportunities and potential threats in the publisher landscape.
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment of our publisher development strategy with product and commercial priorities.
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement in the publisher development process.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain the company’s competitive edge in the adtech space.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in publisher development, account management, or business development within the ad tech industry.
- Proven success in developing publisher relationships and aligning joint business and technical roadmaps from pre-sales to live implementation.
- In-depth understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including SSPs, DSPs, exchanges, and auction mechanics.
- Expertise in header bidding, RTB, and OpenRTB integrations.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with a track record of data-driven decision-making and performance analysis.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- 4 years of experience in ad tech, programmatic advertising, or digital media sales.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to transform data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across teams and the development of robust external partnerships.
Time zone:
- 9am-6pm ET preferred, but also open to PT/MT/CT hours
