We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cloud Engineering Sales Professional to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, and closing new business opportunities with both existing and potential customers.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of quota-carrying experience in a fast-paced and competitive market, with a focus on new business development. You should be skilled in building strong relationships with developers and executives, and possess excellent written, verbal, online, and in-person communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Closing business to meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual bookings objectives
- Prospecting, identifying, qualifying, and developing a sales pipeline
- Evaluating, qualifying, and converting incoming leads, gathering information, and following up with appropriate decision-makers
- Building strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities
- Working closely with Customer Success Managers and Professional Services teams to achieve customer satisfaction
- Facilitating customer engagements; helping connect customers to the right internal and external resources to follow up and close deals
- Staying up-to-date on our products, competitive landscape, and sales pitch to deliver the right messaging to the right audiences
- Looking for and implementing improvements to sales processes, tools, and materials
Requirements:
- 6 years of field experience with quota-carrying experience in a fast-paced and competitive market, with a focus on new business development
- Demonstrated ability to articulate the business value of complex enterprise technology
- A track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets
- Skilled in building business champions and running complex sales processes
- Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g., MEDDPICC, SPIN, Challenger Sales)
- Familiarity with selling infrastructure Software as a Service (SaaS) products, DevOps, and open-source technology is a plus
- Driven and competitive: Possess a strong desire to be successful
- Skilled in managing time and resources; sound approach to qualifying opportunities
- Possess aptitude to learn quickly and establish credibility; High EQ and self-aware
