Job Overview

  • PUMPJACK SALOON Bar & Grill, is a unique-concept, sports bar type atmosphere, family-owned establishment in west Texas. Owners Chad and Jacqui Taylor are in the final stages of renovating 3 historic buildings in the downtown historic district of Colorado City, Texas. PUMPJACK SALOON will have 8,000 SF under roof, with 2 bars and 2 stages, a dance floor, and upper mezzanine with pool tables and dart boards. We will be able to host special events and bigger bands on our Main Stage. We also have a 2,000 SF Outdoor Open-Air Patio named ROUSTABOUTS, which also has a large outdoor stage, and a 3rd outdoor bar. We are one of only a few establishments with a full liquor license within a 30 mile radius, and we are the first full bar in downtown Colorado City, Texas since prohibition! We have a lot of excitement surrounding our project and expect it to be an enormous success!

We are looking for a general manager with strong experience in a fast-paced busy operation, that will share our vision to grow our business. Applicants will need to provide resumes, agree to background checks, and be willing to work long hours to get this new venue off the ground our first year!
We are seeking dedicated Management staff (General, Assistant, Bar) to oversee operations in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate(s) will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food preparation, staff training, and customer service in a casual dining setting. This role requires strong leadership skills and a passion for food management, along with the ability to maintain inventory control and uphold food safety standards.

Duties

  • Supervise daily operations of the establishment, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service.
  • Oversee food preparation processes to guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Manage cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and financial reporting.
  • Train and mentor staff on best practices in food safety, customer service, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct regular inventory assessments to maintain stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Implement effective strategies for improving customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and adherence to menu specifications.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to enhance the dining experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a managerial role within the food industry, preferably in casual dining or hotel settings.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations.
  • Experience with cash handling and financial management.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and train staff effectively.
  • Familiarity with inventory control processes and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $62,285.00 - $82,684.00 per year
