What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Care Center Teachers and Assistant Teachers position at Pumpkin Patch Childcare & Learning Center?
Overview
We are seeking Float Teacher and Assistant Teacher qualified candidates to join our growing child care center. We are located in the Heart of the City off of the bus line and near a variety of housing options. We moved into our newly renovated building in April of this year. We have 12 classrooms, a library, 2 gyms, 4 playgrounds, and a STEAM classroom, in addition to a staff lounge and a staff rest space.
Responsibilities
- Implement and enhance age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, motor skills, self-help skill, and social-emotional skills.
- Play and interact with children
- Participate in Infant and Toddler care routines
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children
- Engage children in various fun and educational activities that support their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Collaborate with other educators to enhance the learning experience and share best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and childcare policies.
Teacher Qualification Requirements
Teacher candidates must have previous child care center experience and one of the following:
- A completed CDA; or
- An Associates Degree (in any discipline); or
- A Bachelor's Degree (in any discipline); or
- 16 college semester credits (or 24 quarter credits)
- Previous Child Care or Pre-K-6 grade work experience
Assistant Teacher Qualification Requirements
Assistant Teacher candidates must have previous child care center experience and one of the following :
- A completed CDA or
- 8 college semester credits (or 12 quarter credits)
- Previous Child Care Center or Pre-K-6 grade work experience
We do not have any Aide positions available at this time. Candidates must meet the education and experience requirements for Teacher or Assistant Teacher positions as defined by MN Department of Human Services Licensing.
