Security/Maintenance

Puna Kai Shopping Center is looking for a Maintenance / Security personnel to join our team!

What We Offer:

• 15.00 per hour

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more regularly and stand for long periods

Maintenance / Security Job Duties:

• Maintaining a clean and healthy facility by completing various tasks.
• Empty trash
• Clean the exterior of buildings including sidewalks, breezeways, windows and walls
• Clean Shopping Center Parking lot
• Disinfect Shopping Center common areas
• Clean and maintain restrooms
• Operate Shopping Center Learning equipment
• Patrol premises and alert management in case of any suspicious activity or person.
• This role requires patrolling premises, observing persons and vehicles, and conducting activities. The ideal candidate will be observant and have good observation skills.
• The ability to work independently without supervision is also required.
• The ability to make sound decisions is essential.
• The ability to interact with clients professionally is essential.
• The ability to handle the physical demands of the position is essential.
• The ability to read and write is essential.
• The ability to speak English is required.
• Must write legibly and complete the necessary paperwork in the assigned position.
• Must be able to complete all necessary documentation in assigned position, including but not limited to daily logs, weekly reports, monthly reports, etc.
• Must be able to follow written, oral, and electronic instructions and complete other duties assigned by supervisor.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team environment.
• Must have good physical strength and endurance for lifting 50 lbs., bending, twisting, reaching overhead, and pushing or pulling 50 lbs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Evening shift
• Holidays
• Night shift
• Weekends only

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Pāhoa, HI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Maintenance: 1 year (Preferred)
