In its 21st year, the PUEO Program embodies the essence of Punahou’s commitment to being a private school serving a larger public purpose through meaningful partnerships with other schools and educators. PUEO proudly employs summer faculty from public and private schools across Hawai‘i. Scholars are nominated for the Clarence T.C. Ching PUEO multi-year scholarship by Hawai‘i Department of Education administrators and counselors. PUEO scholars (grades 4-12) join the program as a cohort and return each summer for five weeks of summer learning at Punahou, earning HIDOE credit toward the goal of college readiness.

Position Details:
- Work Year: 1.5 Months
- School Year: Summer School 2025, June 13 – July 18th, 2025
- Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30AM – 3:30PM, Hours may vary depending on course
- Must attend mandatory in person orientation (June 9, 10, 12)
- Stipend Range*: $3,473 - $8,871 - Compensation is commensurate with qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- One (1) year of teaching experience.
- Related experience in a private or public school setting is preferred.
