The coaching staff at Punahou School plays a significant role in the success of its’ Athletics program and the education of our students.
Punahou is actively recruiting lifeguards to join the Athletics Department. The lifeguard plays an essential role in ensuring the safety of all students and patrons utilizing the pool and its surrounding areas. The lifeguard inspects the aquatics facility, assists teacher with pool configuration, and recognizes and responds quickly and effectively to situations. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a lifeguard, thorough knowledge of application or rescue and lifeguard techniques and an understand of facility rules, policies and procedures. Position Details:
- Work Year: 12 Months
- School Year: 2024-2025
- Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM, May include occasional nights and weekends depending on operational needs
- Hourly Rate: $17.00/Hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current Lifeguard, First Aid and CPR/AED Certification by the American Red Cross.
- Prior experience as a lifeguard preferred.
- Thorough knowledge and application of rescue techniques.
- Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding surveillance.
- An understanding of facility rules, policies and procedures.
