Job Title: Manager of E-Commerce and Marketing
Position Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Manager of E-Commerce and Marketing to oversee all facets of our online product portfolio and marketing strategies. This role is ideal for a professional with a passion for driving product visibility, performance, and sales through well-coordinated marketing efforts. You’ll work closely with internal teams, agencies, and freelancers to develop and execute campaigns that effectively position products and drive growth.
This position is open to hybrid, or on-site work in Glastonbury, CT. Candidates must be based within 60 miles of Glastonbury, CT.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Product Positioning:
- Develop and refine marketing strategies to effectively position products and communicate value propositions to target audiences.
- Collaborate with product development and sales teams to create compelling go-to-market plans for new product launches.
- Ensure consistent and optimized messaging across all marketing channels, including e-commerce listings, digital advertising, and social media.
E-Commerce Oversight:
- Provide strategic direction to contractors managing day-to-day e-commerce operations on platforms like Amazon.
- Ensure optimization of product listings, including imagery, descriptions, and SEO, to maximize sales and visibility.
- Analyze sales performance and identify opportunities to enhance product placement and merchandising across e-commerce platforms.
Campaign Management:
- Lead the planning and execution of marketing campaigns in collaboration with agencies and freelancers across platforms like Meta, TikTok, Etsy, Faire, and others.
- Drive advertising efforts that align with product and business objectives, including promotions, seasonal strategies, and cross-selling opportunities.
- Monitor campaign performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize ROI.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with internal teams, including the Content Manager, Art Director, and Sales teams, to align marketing initiatives with overall business goals.
- Provide guidance to contractors, agencies, and freelancers, ensuring projects meet quality and performance standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external partners handling e-commerce and marketing activities.
Market Research & Insights:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, consumer needs, and competitive positioning.
- Leverage insights to drive innovation and inform future product development and marketing strategies.
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and integrate relevant tools and techniques into marketing plans.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in e-commerce, marketing, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and product lifecycle management.
- Proven experience managing external partners to execute marketing strategies.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a data-driven mindset.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of platforms like Amazon, Meta Ads Manager, and TikTok Ads.
- Familiarity with SEO, keyword optimization, and performance tracking tools.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment.
