What are the responsibilities and job description for the Camp Store Cashier position at Punderson State Park - Ohio Department of Natural Resources?
JOB DUTIES IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE: Receives money from sales, payments of fees & other camp store financial transactions, operates cash register &/or calculator, makes change, processes checks & maintains daily records of all transactions (e.g., purchases of permits, official documents, licenses, campground reservations, kayak rentals). Answers telephone to provide park and campground information to public; answers correspondence; photocopies materials; maintains files. Sale of paddlecraft rentals (canoes, kayaks, paddleboards), registering guests in the campground POS system, checking campground guests in and out, give park directions and answer questions.
WE REQUIRE WEEKEND AVAILABILITY INCLUDING SATURDAYS SUNDAYS.
This position works in a busy state park campground. You will work a rotating, flexible schedule that includes weekend hours. We require SUNDAY AVAILABILITY.
MINIMUM CLASS QUALIFICATIONS FOR EMPLOYMENT: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions & decimals. Experience working a cash register and dealing with the public. Customer service skills required, experience with kayak and canoe rentals a plus.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
