What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary - Pupil Services/School Health Services position at Pupil Services?
The Neshaminy School District’s Department of Pupil Services is seeking a dedicated part-time(5.75 hours a day) secretary to support K-12 School Health Services. This position is a 12-month role that reports to the Supervisor of Pupil Services and provides critical support for school nurses and student health services.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Supervisor of Pupil Services and school nurses review and analyze student medical data in the district's Student Information System (eSchool).
- Support school nurses by reviewing medical documentation for student participation in school-sponsored day and overnight trips or activities.
- Assist in the preparation of state and local health reports.
- During the school year, the position is located in the Nurses Office at Neshaminy High School. Relocate during summer months to the District Office to assist with central registration, particularly aspects related to school health documentation.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage in clear, two-way communication with school nurses, students, parents, administrative staff and physician offices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to work independently with technology.
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with student information systems or other database programs is preferred.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset that supports the goals of the School Health Services team.
- Experience working in a medical office is preferred but not required.
This position plays a vital role in helping School Health Services meet the needs of both students and school nurses by maintaining accurate data and facilitating effective communication with multiple stakeholders.
