What are the responsibilities and job description for the Secretary - Pupil Services/Special Education position at Pupil Services?
The Department of Pupil Services of Neshaminy School District has an opening for a full-time secretary supporting Special Education and Pupil Services. This 12-month position will support the department staff with all daily office functions, including data entry. Responsibilities include but are not limited to direct support to supervisory staff, teachers, and parents. Additionally, the position supports compliance with special education paperwork, submission of requests and referrals to appropriate internal/external stakeholders, and paperwork related to homelessness and foster care. Analyzing and completing various state and federal reports, including Penn Data and PIMS reporting, is often required. This position also handles student transcript requests and supports our School-Based Access Program. As a forward-facing position, respectfully communicating with parents, staff, alternative and approved private schools, and other agencies is essential. Qualifications include strong computer skills, including independence with basic Microsoft Applications. Experience working with student software programs is preferred, or prior experience with database programs is needed. Working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment requires the successful applicant to be proactive, organized, and efficient.
