Job Summary

As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet the needs of both pets and their owners.
Duties
- Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
- Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and grooming options.
- Handle animals safely and compassionately, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
- Monitor the behavior and health of pets during grooming sessions, reporting any concerns to pet owners or veterinary staff as necessary.
- Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best care for pets.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming or related fields such as animal care or veterinary assistance is preferred.
- Skills in dog handling and animal handling are essential for ensuring safety during grooming sessions.
- Customer service experience is valuable for building relationships with pet owners and providing a positive experience.
- Familiarity with kennel operations, veterinary technician duties, or equine care is a plus but not required.
- A genuine love for animals and a strong desire to contribute to their well-being is essential for success in this role.
