RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain accurate financial records by reconciling daily sales and restaurant revenue.
- Assist with processing and posting accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Ensure all payroll information is accurately entered and processed.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and budget variances.
- Manage inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) tracking, ensuring accurate reporting.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
- Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow management.
- Support the accounting team in preparing for audits and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Maintain organized records and files in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Collaborate with management to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for financial improvement.
- Assist in preparing tax filings and related documentation as required.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the Controller.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- A proactive and problem-solving attitude.
- Reliable transportation to work in office Monday to Friday in Miami Beach, Florida
