Primary Responsibilities:
- Drive the implementation of Continuous Improvement & Lean Manufacturing change programs for Operational Excellence and monitor progress
- Develop, implement and monitor the programs and projects management processes
- Prioritize and implement improvement opportunities by identifying waste, inefficiencies, process failures, and weaknesses in the Operations Value Chain
- Support problem-solving and performance improvement projects at all organizational levels
- Identify, train and coach in lean concepts
- Coordinate and deliver training programs to developlong term competencies and organization capabilities on World Class Operations & Lean best practices:
- 5S, visual management, team work, focused improvement, rational problem solving, Asset Care, SMED, Quality at source, Value Stream Mapping, business process re-engineering and improvement
- Foster a culture where Continuous Improvement is a core organizational value, creating a competitive advantage
- Support the development and maintenance of key process documentation, translating tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge by elaborating standard operating procedures and guidelines, and sharing best practices
- Analyze Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) and downtime data, translating findings into useful reports for production and maintenance. Conduct Pareto analysis and define improvement projects based on downtime reports
- Identify opportunities for capital projects for process improvement and automation
- Bachelors Degree required; Preferred majors: Engineering, Food Science/Technology, Operations Management
- 2 years of relevant OpEx Engineering project experience
- Working knowledge of MRP and Shop Floor Control systems (MES preferred)
- Six sigma Green belt certification is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and experience in root cause analysis
- Ability to lead cross functional teams
