We looking for experienced construction foremen to join our team of construction professionals looking for an opportunity for a long term career with growth potential. The foremen will be responsible for leading, assisting and supervising a crew of construction workers on a job site, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and according to project plans and deadlines, by overseeing daily tasks, managing materials, coordinating trades, and monitoring safety compliance to meet project timelines and quality standards. Preferred experience in earthwork, concrete, piping systems, structural steel and mechanical equipment installations. Key responsibilities of a construction foreman:
- Direct supervision: Lead, manage and assist a crew of construction workers, assigning tasks and ensuring they are completed properly.
- Project execution: Interpret blueprints and construction plans, ensuring work is carried out according to specifications.
- Quality control: Inspect work regularly to maintain quality standards and identify any issues.
- Safety compliance: Enforce safety protocols on the job site and address any safety concerns.
- Material management: Order and manage necessary materials, ensuring timely delivery and proper storage.
- Schedule adherence: Monitor project progress against the schedule and make adjustments as needed to meet deadlines.
- Trade coordination: Coordinate the work of different trades on the site.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with superintendent, subcontractors, and crew members.
- Problem-solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction, including addressing any delays or conflicts.
