What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist / Lab Assistant - PRN position at Purcell Municipal Hospital?
Purcell Municipal Hospital is in need of a PRN Phlebotomist / Lab Assistant to work in the Laboratory Department. May require some holidays.
Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Manager, the phlebotomist must :
- demonstrate competence in phlebotomy skills
- understand and perform specimen collection procedures for all age groups
- efficiently perform basic clerical and customer service duties with initiative, kindness, and professionalism
- have full range of body motion including handling and assisting patients, manual and finger dexterity, eye / hand coordination, and hearing acuity
REQUIREMENTS :
Phlebotomy certification and minimum of 6 months phlebotomy work experience is required for PRN position.
