Job Summary:

We are seeking skilled Retread Technician applicants to join our team in the future and assist in the production of the industry's highest-quality retreads. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing specific retreading job assignments per company specifications, standards, and time frames.

Essential Duties:

As a Retread Technician, you will be responsible for the following duties:

- Inspect tires to be retreaded or repaired to determine condition, repairs needed, etc.

- Operate a buffing machine to remove treads from tires to be retreaded, following specifications for depth and width of removal

- Measure diameter and cross-section to determine correct tread width

- Apply rubber cement to tire casing and select proper size tread rubber, applying it to the tire

- Place proper curing tube in tire and insert proper rim for curing

- Place tire in the chamber and program correct curing temperature according to specification

- Set tire pressure and monitor curing process to ensure proper adhesion of the tread to the tire casing

- Perform final inspection of the retreaded tire to ensure it meets company standards for quality and safety
