As a Clinic Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative and procedural support to ensure the efficient operation of the surgical office and office-based lab. You will support the doctor and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
Responsibilities
- Assist with office-based procedures to include angiograms, venograms, vein ablations, stab phlebectomies, and sclerotherapy
- Prepare the daily patient schedule and administer to the office staff and physician
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule patient appointments
- Update and file medical records and patient insurance
- Arrange hospital admissions and imaging/laboratory services
- Check with patients and type up patients' charts
- Assist during medical examinations to include suture removal, wet-to-dry dressing administration
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instrument
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant or equivalent experience
- Sterile field experience preferred
- Bilingual a plus
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software including EMR
- Ability to push, pull or lift a minimum of 25lbs
Job Types: Part-time, PRN
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
