Description
Production Manager for all production-related activities in the Conservatory of Theatre Arts. Oversees all matters relating to scheduling, budgets, construction, equipment, and student/professional personnel employed in the mounting of Conservatory productions, and mentors students in collaboration and leadership through applied learning. Manages all production shop operations in the Conservatory and serves as direct supervisor of Scene Shop Supervisor, Costume Shop Supervisor, Properties Shop Supervisor, Assistant Production Manager/CMFT Shops Supervisor, and part-time Paint Deck Supervisor.
Together with faculty and other production staff, the Conservatory PM continues to work toward integration of the Theater Arts B.A. and B.F.A. Programs. Manage Conservatory of Theatre Arts production budgets: process and/or monitor all income and payments related to production expenses, including supplies and equipment. Location pay is $4,000 per year.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in theatrical production management, have supervisory experience, and 5-10 years of professional production and shop experience, or demonstrate equivalent skills and experience in other professional capacities.
The successful candidate will also possess superior organizational, leadership, budgeting, and interpersonal communication/collaboration skills. Successful candidates will be committed to providing conservatory training within the context of a public undergraduate institution housing a unique combination of Arts Conservatory BFA training programs, and Liberal Arts and Sciences. Fluency in all aspects of technical theatre and close familiarity with theatrical carpentry, lighting, and sound shop operations and the construction and maintenance of theatrical facilities are essential.
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred. Familiarity with a college conservatory setting and experience working within the SUNY system are considered assets; willingness to adapt professional skills and training to an educational environment is essential.
