Position Summary
This Data Analyst position is responsible for creating and maintaining data analytics reports and dashboards as well as associated data management tasks. Working closely with both technical colleagues and end users, and leveraging a variety of tools including Salesforce CRM Analytics, Salesforce Reports, Tableau, Snowflake and SQL, this position will take data projects from requirements gathering to development to deployment.
Data Analyst Key Functions
Work with end users to assess needs, develop requirements and solutions. Support and train end users on created tools.Perform data management tasks, including querying, modeling, conversion, de-duplication, repair, light ETL support, and data back-up tool management.Provide experienced troubleshooting, problem analysis, and resolution for data related issues.Set objectives and work independently on small to moderate sized projects or assignments.Responsible for improvements of processes, systems, and products to enhance performance of area and broader organization.Support overall data quality and work product quality from team through QA processing and peer reviews.Create and maintain current documentation for data, reporting solutions, and tools.Help maintain, research, and evolve the use of data and reporting tool sets through innovative and emerging technologies.Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Proficiency in advancement user requirements and solutions.Knowledge and understanding of relational databases and related knowledge management techniques, including data mining and management report generation.Analytical skills to design queries / programs and analyze data to present accurate and useful reports.Problem solving, resolution and customer service skills.Excellent interpersonal, organizational and verbal / written communication skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive data.Capacity to quickly learn new analytical Business Intelligence Tools.Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred.3-5 years experience in data analysis and reporting required.Experience working with large relational databases required.Experience with Salesforce CRM and / or Salesforce CRM Analytics strongly preferred.Experience with Python and Snowflake strongly preferred.Development operations experience in an academic environment and experience with data visualization tools is preferred.Benefits Summary for eligible employees :
