Job Summary:
At PPHS, our teachers are educational coaches. Students take an active role in their learning and coaches facilitate, encourage and provide opportunity and support.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Provide coaching and support for student academic growth and achievement
- Engage students in academic conversations that elicit critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and community partners in a co-taught, interdisciplinary instructional setting
- Develop meaningful and supportive relationships with students
- Collect and analyze student data to support instructional decisions
- Maintain positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, & community partners
- Provide appropriate accommodations, modifications, and interventions for English Learners, students with 504 Plans, and Special Education students
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Requirements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Current Indiana Teaching License required or in process
- 2 years working in classrooms preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate and work well in a team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Work Environment:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight (up to 20lbs).
