We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic tutors to join our team through a partnership with Purdue Northwest for our Reading Tutors/Family Literacy and Math Tutor programs. This Federal Work Study position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the educational development of our K-5 students for the 2024/2025 school year.
About Us: Our school is committed to enhancing educational outcomes for students in grades K-5. We currently employ three teachers and one interventionist, but due to our tight budget and reliance on the Indiana voucher program and donations, we are unable to hire additional full-time tutors. Therefore, we are looking for motivated individuals to support our reading and math programs on a part-time or full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions in reading and/or math to students in grades K-5.
- Assist in developing and implementing educational strategies to support individual student needs.
- Work closely with our teachers and interventionist to ensure cohesive support for students.
- Adapt tutoring approaches to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Track student progress and communicate effectively with teachers and school staff.
- Available hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 3 pm.
- Flexibility to accommodate part-time or full-time schedules.
- PNW Federal Work-Study Student
- Current Federal Work Study Student in Education/Early Childhood Development, Math, English, Psychology, or related fields.
- Passion for working with young students and enhancing their educational experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
