Primary Duties: Purdue University’s White Lodging-J.W. Marriott, Jr. School of Hospitality and Tourism Management Division of Consumer Science seeks a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor of Consumer Science to teach courses in Financial Counseling and Planning (FCPL), and one or more of the programs within the Division. Our programs include Selling and Sales Management, Retail Management, and FCPL. We are interested in high-impact teaching, outreach, and industry engagement. We are dedicated to student and faculty success. The Division maintains strong industry partnerships in all three majors, which provides our graduates with an abundance of internship and career opportunities. The successful candidate is expected to collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, industry engagement, and departmental service.

The Division: The Division of Consumer Science is a diverse division with seven full-time lecturers and tenure track faculty, and three part-time instructors. The Division awards BS, MS and PhD degrees and currently has approximately 435 undergraduates and 7 MS/PhD students. Research is conducted in Consumer Behavior, Family and Consumer Economics, and Financial Planning.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- MS/MA/MBA in Consumer Economics, Consumer Science, Family Resource Management, or Financial Planning. Degrees in Consumer Behavior, Marketing/Sales, Retailing, or a related discipline will be considered if the candidate is qualified to teach FCPL courses. A Ph.D. is preferred, but not required. Degree must be awarded by the start of the appointment.
- University teaching experience required.
- Industry experience required; leadership experience also desired, but not required.
