What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Bursar position at Purdue University?
We are currently seeking a full-time onsite Assistant Bursar in the Bursar Department. The main function of this position is to manage the customer service & cashiering areas of the Bursar’s Office which includes responsibility for University banking functions, as well as promoting outstanding service to University customers including students, parents, departmental staff, and faculty. Starting salary for this position will be 46,800.00.
Primary Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, management, or related field.
- At least 3 years’ experience in accounting, accounts receivable, banking or customer service.
- Experience with web-based applications and spreadsheets.
- Supervisory experience.
- Experience in student related services and federal financial aid regulations.
- Sungard Banner student system/TouchNet Ecommerce experience.
- Call center experience
- Excel preferred.
