What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Subjects Research Coordinator position at Purdue University?
In this role, you will conduct and manage human research studies under the direction of the principal investigators based on research objectives in environmental health, radiological health, biomedical sciences, and related disciplines. Assist principal investigators in developing, designing and implementing research plans with human subjects. Manage data and compile results. Assist the principal investigators in study participant recruitment, performing human subject sample collection, environmental sampling, administering questionnaires and other items for the collection of human subjects’ data. Participate in preparation of all oral and written communication including articles for grant proposals, IRB application, recruitment, conference presentations, reports to sponsors, and publications. May oversee undergraduate students or service staff concerning research on a day-to-day basis.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Six months of experience in research involving human subjects, environmental sampling, or analysis of clinical or human samples.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Competency with Microsoft Office software.
- Experience with data management.
- A valid US or Canadian drivers license.
Preferred:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Degree in biomedical health sciences, epidemiology, public health, environmental health, radiological health, toxicology or closely related field.
