Job Description : Job Summary
The College of Engineering solicits applications for one staff Lecturer position for Purdue University, West Lafayette campus to support the teaching of ENGR 13300 (Transforming Ideas to Innovation, EPICS) and the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) Program (https : / / engineering.purdue.edu / EPICS ). Successful candidate will be expected to teach one to two sections of ENGR 13300 each semester and supervise multiple EPICS Teams. Teaching assignments are subject to change in the best interest of the College.
The position is a non-faculty rank, in-person and academic year staff teaching position, with continuing appointment.

Education
Applicants must have a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Ph.D. preferred.
Experience
Applicants should have experience in the practice or teaching of design, engineering, computing or technology. Experience mentoring project-based courses, especially those which satisfy capstone requirements, also preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Applicants must have the ability to take the initiative to solve problems, assume responsibility, and establish and maintain quality standards. In addition, applicants should have excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills, the ability to work with people of various backgrounds, good time management and organizational skills, the ability to learn and adapt to changing learning environments, and the ability to work with students, undergraduate and graduate, and faculty in mentoring students' teams through their design projects.
