Grounds Department Summer work call out
Work outdoors maintaining and installing campus landscapes, painting, and assist with refuse / recycling. Responsibilities could include performing grounds maintenance; assisting with grounds cleanliness, shrub pruning, landscape renovation, record keeping and minor equipment operation / maintenance.
13 per hour
Hours for position are 7 : 00 A.M.-3 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday
Required :
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers.
- Read, write and perform basic mathematics.
- Good Work organization and problem solving ability.
- Personal protective equipment will be required during specific work duties as determined by the department. The department supplies this.
- Ability to lift and carry 25 to 40LBs. frequently and up to 50Lbs occasionally.
- Work outdoors in temperatures that could be above 90 degrees.
- A valid US or Canadian driver's license.
