The Center for Faculty Excellence (CFE) is seeking a Federal Work Study Student Worker to assist with communications and website management on a project-based approach. The student will be responsible for contributing to the Monday Morning email newsletter, drafting communications and marketing materials, and editing and updating the CFE website. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital communications and web content management. We anticipate two to three hours of work a week.
Position Duties:
- Assist in the creation and distribution of the Monday Morning email newsletter
- Draft CFE communications and create marketing materials for CFE programming
- Edit and update content on the CFE website
- Collaborate with CFE staff to ensure timely and accurate communication of information
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Undergraduate Student. Must be enrolled in a Federal Work Study program.
- Digital Communications: Experience in creating and distributing digital content, such as newsletters, emails, and social media posts. Familiarity with email marketing platforms can be a plus.
- Writing and Editing: Strong writing and editing skills are crucial for drafting communications and marketing materials. This includes the ability to write clearly, concisely, and persuasively.
- Web Content Management: Experience with website management, including editing and updating web pages. Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or similar platforms is often required.
- Marketing: Basic understanding of marketing principles and experience in creating marketing materials. This can include designing flyers, brochures, and other promotional content.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with a team, including collaborating with staff to ensure timely and accurate communication.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure all communications are accurate and error-free.
