What are the responsibilities and job description for the Undergraduate Web Visualization Programmer position at Purdue University?
Purdue Information Technology's Envision Center is seeking a new undergraduate Web Visualization Programmer. This student will be working on building interactive real-time 3D geospatial web visualizations. This will involve working with frameworks like CesiumJS, back-end infrastructure like AWS and front-end JavaScript frameworks. The student may also be involved in collaborating with artists and implementing innovative interaction techniques along with deploying and testing. This position will create opportunities to grow the student’s portfolio and provide experience in project development pipeline, client interactions, time and team management.

This is an onsite student position on Purdue's West Lafayette campus to work through the summer of 2025.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with JavaScript and Python
- Experience with front-end web frameworks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with working with geospatial data
- Experience with a graphics API like OpenGL/WebGL
- Familiarity with AWS
- Knowledge of aviation and meteorology
