Pure Energy Dance Productions and our sister studio, The Dance Barre, are seeking a highly skilled and technically trained Ballet Instructor to join our faculty. This position offers the opportunity to work with Level II dancers and up at Pure Energy Dance Productions, providing structured training in classical ballet technique, as well as leading adult beginner and intermediate ballet classes at The Dance Barre, including the potential to work with adult dancers en pointe.
Position Summary
The Ballet Instructor will play a vital role in delivering high-level technical training and classical ballet education to both youth and adult dancers. This role requires expertise in ballet pedagogy, an ability to develop dancers with strong technical foundations, and a commitment to fostering a disciplined yet supportive learning environment. The instructor will work directly with the Ballet Director and lead instructors to ensure students receive consistent and progressive training.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Ballet Classes – Instruct Level II dancers and up in classical ballet technique, emphasizing proper alignment, strength, and artistry.Work with Adult Dancers – Lead beginner and intermediate ballet classes at The Dance Barre, with opportunities to teach adults en pointe.Provide Technical Training – Implement a structured curriculum designed to develop strength, flexibility, and precision in movement.
- Teach and Clean Choreography – Instruct and refine classical ballet choreography for performance pieces presented in both fall and spring seasons.
- Mentor and Guide Dancers – Support students in their technical and artistic growth, ensuring they build a strong foundation for progression.
- Collaborate with the Ballet Director and Lead Instructors – Align instruction with the overall ballet program’s methodology and expectations.
- Maintain a Professional Studio Culture – Encourage discipline, focus, and respect for the art form while fostering a positive and motivating environment.
