Studio Manager – The Dance Barre
The Dance Barre is an adults-only dance studio located in BCS, dedicated to creating a vibrant, inspiring space for dancers. We are seeking a highly organized and responsive Studio Manager to support the vision of our founder and maintain seamless studio operations.
Position Summary: This role is focused on executing and upholding established systems that make the studio thrive. While your primary responsibility is to implement our studio processes with consistency and clarity, fresh ideas and thoughtful feedback are always welcome.
Key Responsibilities
Team Support:
- Attend and actively participate in mandatory weekly team meetings (Wednesdays, 10:30 AM–12:00 PM)
- Follow through on assigned action items from meetings
- Coordinate with cleaning crew and manage task updates via Trello
- Liaise with contractors (HVAC, scheduled services, etc.) as needed
Instructor Communication:
- Update and maintain the instructor Trello board with schedules, announcements, and studio policies
- Assist instructors with onboarding, scheduling, questions, and conflict resolution
Client Relations:
- Respond promptly to phone calls and text messages; direct inquiries to the appropriate team member when necessary
- Assist with informational meetings, answer questions, and help new clients sign up
- Support class registrations and general customer service to ensure a positive studio experience
Studio Operations:
- Manage and order studio supplies (office, cleaning, dance-related)
- Oversee opening and closing of studio during rentals
- Support coordination of showcases and studio events including setup/teardown, ordering materials, and scheduling support staff
Expectations & Work Style:
- Flexible, self-managed schedule based on studio needs (no fixed hours)
- Be prepared to manage calls and texts daily, including weekends when needed
- Weekend availability required occasionally for studio rentals, meetings, or cleaning crew check-ins
- Must be comfortable using tools like Trello and Slack
- Familiarity with EOS Level 10 Meeting format is a plus
Compensation:
- $15/hour
- Capped at $500/month
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
