Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and professional Working Electrical Site Supervisor to lead and manage a small team of electricians on various projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a hands-on approach, and a solid understanding of electrical systems and site management. This position requires someone who can effectively balance working on-site with managing project schedules, material planning, and ensuring safety and quality standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, motivate, and lead a team of electricians to ensure project goals are achieved.
  • Delegate tasks effectively and monitor progress to ensure work is completed to high standards.
  • Provide training, guidance, and support to team members as needed.

Project Management:

  • Develop and maintain project schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other trades to avoid delays and conflicts.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions promptly.
  • Material and Resource Planning:
  • Create and manage material lists to ensure all necessary supplies are available on-site.
  • Plan and order materials in advance to prevent delays.
  • Track inventory and manage material costs to stay within budget.
  • Communication and Coordination:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
  • Provide regular progress reports to management and clients.
  • Communicate clearly with team members to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate safety hazards.
  • Promote a culture of safety and enforce the use of proper PPE and safe work practices.
  • Quality Control:
  • Monitor work quality to meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Ensure all installations are tested and functioning correctly before project completion.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Lead Electrician.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and codes.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

  • Proactive and able to anticipate and resolve issues before they escalate.
  • Professional and confident when dealing with clients.
  • Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $33.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
