Position Summary
The Nutraceutical Packaging Associate is responsible for the safe, efficient, and accurate packaging of nutraceutical products. This role ensures product quality, adheres to safety standards, and maintains optimal output levels in compliance with company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare, clean, and verify equipment readiness, ensuring compliance with SOPs and quality standards.
- Operate bottling, sealing, and labeling equipment accurately and efficiently according to SOPs.
- Report to work in compliance with company infectious disease protocols and adhere to hygienic policies.
- Monitor and maintain adequate in-house supplies for continuous packaging operations.
- Clean and maintain equipment and production areas, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Complete all packaging-related documentation accurately and on time; immediately report any unplanned events or deviations to the supervisor.
- Prioritize tasks to meet production goals and deadlines efficiently.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance on equipment, including but not limited to Pharmafill, Heat Tunnel, Label Applicator, Per-Fil
- Refrigeration systems, forklifts, and building equipment.
- Assist in training new and existing employees on equipment operation, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures.
- Propose and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve product quality.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to address issues, concerns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Report to work on time and adhere to scheduled work hours.
- Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Support team efforts by performing other related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the dietary supplement or nutraceutical industry.
- Basic understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) requirements for dietary supplements.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehension in English; bilingual skills are a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work quickly and methodically in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or hands-on experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and/or HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) applications.
- Previous experience in production or packaging roles within the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or food industries.
- Familiarity with operating and maintaining packaging equipment such as Pharmafill, Label Applicators, and Heat Tunnels.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Required Training
- Completion of departmental SOP training and practices related to cGMP requirements for manufacturing and packaging.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to:
o Use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms continually.
o Frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.
o Stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
o Perform tasks that require close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
