Description
- Set up service bar areas per Banquet Event Order
- Prepare and portion beverage garnishes
- Engage event/banquet guests and create positive experiences
- Maintain a friendly attitude
- Tend to all guests in an efficient and prompt manner
- Prepare and serve beverages that are both alcoholic and non-alcoholic
- Follow drink recipes and procedures for crafting specialty beverages
- Maintain bar area by stocking beer, wine and liquor as provided by event contacts
- Ensure that all products, drinks, cups/glassware are readily available for using during entire event
- Be diligent in preventing unsafe situations and ensure that no alcohol is consumed by minors
- Check guest IDs and respond appropriately when guests violate rules and regulations
- Monitor, maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned service area
- Clean up venue at end of event and assist with other closeout tasks/sidework as assigned by Events Manager or Conference & Events Director
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests' service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience required
- Knowledge of catering practices preferred
- Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation required
- Ability to stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
- TIPS Alcohol Safety Training Certification and/or RAMP Certification required
