Description
Scope of Work:
- Maintenance, care, and upkeep of all Resort water and sewer systems, electrical systems and buildings
- General maintenance of Resort property; including but not limited to Resort buildings, docks, equipment, grounds, and facilities
Principal Accountabilities:
- Winterization of Resort wide systems and buildings
- Preventative maintenance of Resort water and sewer systems, electrical systems, and buildings
- General maintenance of Resort facilities
Principal Interactions:
- Work closely with other Resort Maintenance personal
- Have good working relationship with Resort employees in other departments
- Will have to work in front of Resort guests
- All requirements and conditions of working with Resort guests and other Resort employees set out in the Lake Raystown Resort Employee Handbook will have to be met
Knowledge/Education Requirements:
- Comprehensive knowledge of commercial and residential water and sewer systems
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems
- General maintenance skills

- Direct supervisor – Facilities Manager
- General and Assistant General Manager

- General maintenance skills
- Must be willing to learn new skills, help out in many different trades

Must be 18 years of age or older.

All staff under 18 must have a worker’s permit provided by your local school district.

Must have dependable transportation to and from work.

Ability to work in a team setting as well as independently.

Ability to learn and follow assigned routines.

Capability to work swiftly but still pay attention to detail.

Demeanor to remain calm in tense or stressful situations.

Availability to work mandatory holiday weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day).

Ability to work independently with a team of peers with frequent checks from the department supervisor and the Facilities Manager throughout the day.

The physical ability to stand and/or walk continuously.

The physical ability to climb, balance, bend/stoop, and kneel continuously.

The physical ability to occasionally climb on a ladder to heights in excess of 5 feet.

The physical ability to frequently crouch, push/pull, squat, and work above the shoulders.

The physical ability to continuously carry up to 50 pounds of weight both on flat and uneven surfaces and up and down stairs for distances of up to 150 feet.

The physical ability to be able to lift up to 50 pounds of weight between the floor and the waist and occasionally from the waist to the shoulder.

The physical ability to be able to push or pull various items up to 100 pounds.

The physical ability to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions.

The physical ability to tolerate any required personal protective equipment such as gloves, masks, safety glasses, etc.
