What will you do?
As a Project Engineer, you’ll dive into a variety of exciting engineering tasks, focusing on the design and commercialization of new products. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure we deliver products that drive growth and meet business goals. Your creativity and technical know-how will be key as you collaborate to bring new ideas to life and improve existing ones.
- Design and commercialize products through the structured NPD process and corporate timelines.
- Lead independent design projects, including metal parts, plastics, fabrication, and mechanical assemblies.
- Create 3D models and CAD drawings for concepts, prototypes, and production.
- Recommend and select materials, components, and manufacturing processes to ensure top-notch product performance.
- Analyze mechanical systems for functionality, performance, and design longevity.
- Work with manufacturing partners to refine designs and implement changes for new and existing products.
- Help create technical specifications for quality standards and sourcing.
- Manage technical documentation, including drawings, calculations, spreadsheets, test plans, reports, and specifications.
- Identify opportunities for new product development, process improvements, quality enhancements, cost reductions, and product line expansions.
- Manage multiple development projects, ensuring costs, quality, and schedules stay on track.
- A B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
- 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on product development.

What You will Need to Succeed:
- Expertise in 3D CAD systems (SolidWorks or Creo) for modeling and drawings.
- A strong sense of urgency to deliver assignments on time.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects.
- Strong communication skills to work with domestic and international suppliers—travel to Asia included!
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- A solid understanding of polymers, including their flow and performance characteristics.
- Experience with molded component design, including draft angles, parting lines, gates, hinges, and latch fits.
- Familiarity with IP (patent) issues and documentation.
