Harvest and Pack Team Member- First Shift Packer

Job Description: Pure Green Farms is currently seeking a First Shift Lettuce Packing Team Member I who is responsible for performing general labor tasks in growing and packaging leafy greens in our indoor manufacturing facility. This individual will be dedicated and detail-oriented as they will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality and efficiency of our production process while adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Accurately pack products into boxes or containers according to specifications.
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance before packing.
• Label packages with appropriate shipping information.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Assist in inventory management by keeping track of packed items and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in trouble shooting of machines
• Maintain general cleanliness of all workspaces
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous experience in packing or warehouse operations is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Good physical stamina, as the role may require standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, reliable, punctual, open-minded, and positive attitude a must
• Ability to adapt and to be responsive in the face of changing and evolving order demands
• Learning and following all food safety and quality policies and procedures
• Ability to make critical decisions quickly and repeatedly
• Must have manual dexterity
• Ability to make changes as needed without advance notice

Working Conditions:

· Working in refrigerated warehouse for prolonged periods where temperature averages 45 degrees

· Position requires sitting, standing, and walking on a regular basis for prolonged periods

· Must be able to lift 40 lbs

Education/Experience:

· Previous agricultural, warehouse, manufacturing process line or product process environment experience a plus.

· Forklift operator experience/training a plus

· Passion for agriculture and/or horticulture preferred
