Duties:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Prepare prescription orders by counting, pouring, and labeling medications
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs
- Process insurance claims and handle billing issues
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering their questions and addressing their concerns
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate medication administration
- Perform inventory management tasks, including restocking shelves and monitoring expiration dates
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices and procedures
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of drug classification systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
- Familiarity with IV infusion procedures and aseptic technique is preferred
- Experience in patient care settings such as critical care or acute care is a plus
