What You’ll Do.
- Lead team of claims representatives to handle claims in a quality manner delivering on standards of accuracy, efficiency, customer service and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor, train, and coach to set professional, collaborative tone.
- Represent the company in interactions with members, agents, as well as internal stake-holders in underwriting, product management and finance.
- Resolve claims and respond to inquiries involving members, agents, vendors (independent adjusters/appraisers, salvage, rental, car agencies), defense and plaintiff attorneys.
- Have the authority to make appropriate coverage determinations, reserve and resolve claims, status updates with agents, members and vendors, as well as making reserve decisions on individual files, request payments to pay loss costs or loss adjustment expenses.
- Assist claim staff, answer questions, grant settlement authority, review and resolve coverage questions, and collaborate on claims strategy.
- Report on key metrics to senior management.
- 3-5 years of auto liability claims handling experience required.
- 2 years of leadership experience preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Insurance designations or a willingness to pursue
- State adjuster licenses and CE credits must be maintained as required by state regulations.
- Strong relationship management and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal, listening, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail, analytical and solid problem-solving skills; proficient in Excel, word, web applications.
- Ability to demonstrate integrity, exhibit team spirit and enthusiasm, and establish trust and credibility.
- Agile learner who can quickly absorb information and apply it to current business situations.
Salary : $80,000 - $100,000
