We are a niche company that not only sells effective products but also educate on the importance of optimizing mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health as part of creating a more enriched life. Why are we hiring?
Although we are a very established company that has done very well and has garnered a lot of "super-fans" over the years, this year we've decided to take the company in a different direction, and as a result, are back in "start-up mode". We are looking to rebrand and enter into new spaces that are even more aligned with our vision for the company. This includes having more of a social media presence, supporting and getting into more health focused businesses, moving office location to a holistic center, hosting mindfulness events, etc.
Duties:
As mentioned above, we are in a rebranding/ in start-up mode, and as a result, there is no set role or responsibilities within the company. We all work together to ensure that certain tasks are completed daily/weekly. Tasks will include:
- Create invoices and packing customer orders.
- Completing daily administrative tasks such as responding to emails, answering phone calls, taking orders, etc.
- Oversee daily office operations and ensure a productive work environment.
- Making product samples and bottles as needed.
- Ensuring optimal product presentation at all times.
- Maintain office calendar and schedule meetings, appointments, and events efficiently.
- Coordinate store trainings and demos.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Keep track of ongoing promotions and follow-up requests.
- Managing and restocking inventory as needed
- Doing other tasks that the day may require (eg. labeling bottles, accounting calls, etc)
Skills
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in calendar management and scheduling software.
- Ability to work independently and hold yourself accountable.
- Very detail-oriented and able to give your full attention to a task
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent customer support skills - (Our customers really value us for this!)
- Friendly, easy going yet professional personality
- Physically "fit": This job can sometimes require long periods of standing/ walking throughout the day and occasionally lifting 50LBS and up.
Ideal Candidates:
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office by completing various administrative functions. This position requires strong organizational skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ideal candidates will be interested in personal and/or professional development, mental health/ health and wellness, the mind-body connection, supporting small businesses, being a team player, and most of all, making a real impact in people's lives!
As mentioned above, we are in start-up mode so we are seeking a unique kind of candidate that:
1. Has no problem rolling up their sleeves and doing whatever is required of them. Again since we are rebranding, there are no set job requirements/ roles at this time; we all work together on various tasks throughout the day/ week to ensure smooth operation. The ideal candidate MUST be willing to do whatever work that day requires to help move the team along and keep us growing.
2. Is a self-starter/ has an entrepreneurial drive:
Always eager to learn, challenge themselves and grow the team/company. We are looking for people who are ready to "be their own boss!" and take on hard tasks in order to grow the company and themselves. Being such a small company/ team there are plenty of opportunities/ room for growth within the company.
3. Can work independently and with accuracy.
We are a fast paced office with a small team (of about 6 full-time employees) so being able to work independently/ without constant supervision is a must.
Requirements:
- Must at least have a high school diploma or equivalent. Higher education degree is preferred
- Must have at least 3-5 years of customer service and/ or sales experience
- Must have excellent and professional communication skills with customers and coworkers
- Must be willing to do whatever the business requires on a daily basis (This is not the kind of position where you will be expected to do the same thing every day - as mentioned before, we are in start-up mode so tasks will assigned daily by managers until proficiency is shown)
- Must be able to provide at least 2 professional references upon request
