What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Manager position at Pure Oasis?
The District Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations and performance of our 3 retail dispensaries in the greater Boston area. They ensure that each location meets the company's operational standards, financial goals, and customer service expectations, while also ensuring all operations are in accordance with the laws of the State of Massachusetts. The District Manager ensures stores meet or exceed sales and profitability targets, improves employee performance, drives customer satisfaction, and executes company policies and procedures. The District Manager is the primary point of contact between upper management and the stores they manage.
- Responsible for directly managing the General Managers at each location, subsequently overseeing schedules, inventory, cash management and customer relations for each dispensary;
- Conducting regular store visits to ensure consistency in operations, customer service, and adherence to company policies;
- Serving as a role model and resource for all retail leadership and dispensary staff concerning policies and procedures, customer service standards, industry news and changes in regulations;
- Responsible for delegating tasks, communicating key updates, and monitoring KPIs of General Managers in order to maintain a well run, compliant, and clean facility;
- Coordinating with the upper management to ensure accurate information is communicated to retail leadership and dispensary staff;
- Setting and monitoring sales and payroll targets for each store, providing guidance to ensure goals are met or exceeded;
- Monitoring KPIs to ensure legal compliance, staff efficiency, and customer service standards are met or exceeded;
- Maintaining absolute confidentiality at all times;
- Responding to all customer complaints, requests, concerns, suggestions and coaching General Managers to improve customer service standards;
- Maintaining accurate records of all dispensary activities including daily cash reconciliations, customer records, sales, deliveries and returns in accordance with the State of Massachusetts and the standards set by the company;
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management and team leadership, with prior District Manager or Multi-Unit Management experience required
- Drivers license or ability to travel regularly throughout the Greater Boston area
- Strong skills in inventory management and control
- Strong skills in people management and talent development
- Proficiency in point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash register operations
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Familiarity with scheduling, payroll, and bookkeeping practices
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
