Job Purpose:
A highly-motivated “people-person” who strives to provide excellent customer service and warm hospitality, while supporting the daily operations at one of our Lansing Marijuana Provisioning Centers. Responsibilities include: direct patient and caregiver sales, cash handling processes, inventory management, customer service, patient communication, patient education and orientation, patient information management, and all steps necessary to maintain compliance with state law/regulations. Serve as the primary point of contact with retail customers and outwardly represent the organization’s values. The Retail Associate position reports directly to the Assistant Manager and Store Manager.
Job Requirements:
- Must be reliable and have reliable transportation
- MUST BE 21 OR OLDER
- Cannot be a licensed caregiver
- Must be able to pass a background check
Duties:
- Serve as primary contact to educate patients on medicinal properties and selection of proper genetics, or products per the patient’s desired effect or specific medical ailment.
- Maintain a culture of high quality customer service and patient communication.
- Comply with company cash handling polices.
- Assist management with verifying the receipt of new supplies and equipment, etc.
- Work with marketing team to increase sales and patient volumes.
- Communicate marketing, sales, and promotional opportunities and benefits to facility customers.
- Secure and organize all patient files and assure new patient orientations are fully completed.
- Manage POS and state Metrc database transnational entries.
- Assist management in daily perpetual inventory system (LeafLogixs POS).
- Contribute to team environment and company advancement per strategic direction set by management.
- Notify manager about any customer or product concerns.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and organized work environment.
- Must comply with HIPAA guidelines.
- Daily compliance with provisioning center policies including but not limited to; state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, dress code, and work schedules.
- Comply with all HR policies and procedures, including confidentiality and non-disclosure.
Skills/qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Customer service and retail sales experience highly valued.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and patience with facility customers and co-workers.
- Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills, anticipatory thinking, calculating, multi-tasking, attention to details, conflict resolution, teamwork, and professionalism, accountability, and proactive active behavior.
- Your success and happiness in this position will require positive behavior, a cooperative nature, and self-motivation.
- Knowledge of medical marijuana and/or ability to learn and expand knowledge base.
- Physical aptitude and health necessary to perform manual labor tasks required for the proper management of dispensary / center.
- Computer proficiency with the capability of learning new software.
- Accountability and proactive behavior.
- High integrity and honesty.
Other Job Requirements:
- Must be a Michigan resident.
- Moral character requirements as specified by Company and in accordance with the Michigan Medical Marijuana Licensing Act, section 405.
The compensation for this position is $14.00 per hour plus tips. Tips are individual and not pooled.
