Manufacturing Engineer at Stanadyne

Job Summary:

Develops, plans, coordinates, and implements manufacturing engineering projects consisting of complex features in order to best support the plant and its’ operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Applies knowledge of engineering principles and practices and manufacturing methods (machining, tooling, gaging) in broad areas of assignments.
• Applies techniques and theories, processes, and/or practices within the scope of the assignment.
• Applies knowledge that assists with the design and development of fuel system components meeting customer requirements and demonstrates compliance
• Can work independently, with some supervision.
• Conducts time studies and analysis data to ensure maximum productivity for plant production.
• Responsible for the successful rollout of new equipment.
• Creates and revises standard work procedures.
• Works closely with manufacturing personnel to resolve process problems related to machinery testing and/or gaging. (Spends approximately 60% of time on the shop floor.)
• Schedules and assigns work to meet target dates and checks progress on a continual basis.
• May be required to perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must display a high level of maturity and sound judgment.
• Attention to detail and solid organization skills required
• Must communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum of 1-3 years experience in Manufacturing environment and/or related area.

Physical Requirements:

Essential physical requirements, such as climbing stairs, standing, stooping, or typing. Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary - up to 10 pounds; light - up to 20 pounds and/or moving up to 50 pounds with aids.
