Fleet Reliability Team
The Fleet Reliability team is where the most interesting customer product issues are dissected and analyzed to provide our customers work-arounds, long-term fixes, and proactive detection strategies. We then apply lessons learned to our products and tools. The work is cross-discipline and each team member develops an understanding and expertise in many functional areas of our products and technologies.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING...
- Lead the investigation and resolution of emergent problems
- Create analytics to understand problems that our customers encounter
- Design and implement creative new algorithms and technologies for high-performance, highly reliable systems (think six 9’s)
- Own and deliver innovation end-to-end, from concept to shipped product
- Create analytics tools/pipelines that anticipate new problems by leveraging product telemetry
- Analyze and solve challenging problems through persistence and insight
- Work as a team with smart peers who inspire you and who are inspired by you
- Make customers really happy, because that’s why we do what we do
- Learn a ton, whether you know a lot, or nothing about system software

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- 7 years experience using C, C , Python, Go, Java or related programming languages (< 1 year experience? We have special opportunities for you! Please apply directly to our University roles on our careers page)
- Proven design sensibility and the willingness to work in a collaborative, team oriented environment
- Experience in any number of related systems software projects e.g: Distributed systems, Operating systems, Linux Kernel, Database internals, Hypervisors, Containers, Compiler Optimization, etc.
- Experience using various databases: SQL, Redshift, Snowflake, etc.
- A BS degree in Computer Science; Advanced degrees are a bonus!
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
The annual base salary range is: $207,000 – $312,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
