What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Account Manager, Strategic Sales position at Pure Storage?
Pure Storage is seeking a Global Account Managers (GAM) with experience selling into large financial institutions in Phoenix, Arizona. This GAM will coordinate the overall strategy and relationship between the account and Pure. They will be responsible for team-selling efforts with other teammates and strategic partners around the globe to close business on a quarterly and annual basis. The ideal candidate must currently reside in the greater Phoenix, Arizona area.
Responsibilities
- Thought leadership, creativity and the ability to understand your customer insights and expertise in technology solutions to position Pure’s portfolio and solve their challenges.
- Proven track record of penetrating large global accounts; reaching decision-makers and closing business.
- Consistent track record of exceeding quota and driving referenceable business in technology.
- Building professional proposals including business case, TCO and past value delivered.
- Operational excellence with experience using tools like Clari and Salesforce.
- Ability to elevate and cultivate executive level relationships across countries (internally and externally).
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Desire to drive change and evangelize new technologies.
Qualifications
- Authenticity and a genuine desire to engage customers and understand their business challenges
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment experience is key, a mix of large company and startup experience.
- Proven track record of running multiple sales campaigns within varying lines of business
- Experience building critical relationships while navigating large, complex organizations
- Passionate about post-sales customer success.
- Disciplined, self-starter that is adaptable and comfortable with uncertainty.
- Competitive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to enthusiastically represent the company.
- 5 years of outside sales with a focus on driving strategy for global accounts.
The annual base salary range is: $138,000 – $220,500. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
