We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Manager to lead technical and outbound product management for our Hyperscale solutions.
Customer Engagement
What you’ll be doing:
- Engage with hyperscale and large enterprise engineers, architects, product management and leadership.
- Define workloads, performance and prioritization.
- Develop high-quality content, patterns and practices.
- Act as a technical expert and advocate for our product lines at conferences, seminars, webinars, and other public forums.
- Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to internal and external audiences.
- Understand compute, storage, network, and data center architecture at scale.
- Strong systems-thinking acumen and ability to drive successful root cause analysis of technical issues across hardware and software.
- Experience architecting, deploying or maintaining scale out/distributed storage software such as Ceph, OpenIO, Lustre, GPFS or HDFS.
- Understanding of front end workload patterns for object storage, parallel file systems or data lakes.
- Understanding of AI storage workflow, such as training, RAG, inference or resimulation and the requirements on storage platforms.
- Benchmark, validate build requirements for scale out storage software integrated with Pure flash technologies.
- Work with business development partners to evaluate and improve product functionality, ensuring our solutions meet or exceed expectations.
- Specify technical requirements and prioritization to inbound PM and Engineers.
- Leverage strong problem-solving skills to make informed decisions despite incomplete information.
- Maintain a clear vision and strategic direction while navigating uncertain conditions and executing on tactical needs.
- Mentor junior team members and help build a culture of technical excellence.

Experience
- 8 years of relevant experience in solution architecture, product management, engineering, or technical pre-sales, specifically within the field of data storage or related technologies.
- Experience with cloud technology architecture, service offerings, limits and platform architecture.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Effective presentation skills for internal and external executive audiences.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field or equivalent industry experience.
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
