Status: FULL-TIME

Reports to: Inventory Control Manager, Assistant General Manager, General Manager
Supervises: Dispensary Staff
Position Summary
Stellar customer service and compassionate customer care is the order of the day for the Dispensary Lead. Increasing company profitability, providing exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate inventory levels is the order of the day for Dispensary Leads. Efficient and accurate transactions along with a positive customer experience are the primary goals of Pure Tonic.
The floor advising staff is the heartbeat of the dispensary, so the Dispensary Lead should strive for superb listening skills, display a high level of professionalism, and be flexible. Dispensary Leads provide knowledgeable guidance and education to both customers & staff about Pure Tonic services and products.
The Dispensary Lead should strive for superb listening skills, display a high level of professionalism, and be flexible. The Dispensary Lead must also have in depth knowledge of the Point-of-Sale (POS) and Inventory Control system in order to lead staff carrying our Order Fulfillment and Inventory Control duties so that full regulatory compliance is maintained at all times. The Lead Dispensary Staff must be able to oversee Dispensary Staff in order to provide for complete regulatory compliance and a great customer experience.
Core Duties - The duties of the Dispensary Lead include, but are not limited to, the following:
Daily Operations:
- Leads are keyholders that will be responsible for conducting opening and closing duties.
- Must be versed in guest intake, sales floor presence and point-of-sale (POS) transactions.
- Must be versed in processing returns, exchanges, and various other POS transactions.
- Handle Customer Service issues as needed.
- Notifying Leads when change for registers are running low or when till counts are high.
- Opening and closing procedures for POS and cash drawers.
- Providing change for registers
- Responsible for maintaining visual merchandising for refrigerated products, product displays, flower displays, and POS station overall cleanliness.
- Maintain a clean and presentable sales floor in addition to the overall cleanliness of the dispensary.
- Provide guidance and assistance to dispensary staff for maintaining accurate inventory levels, accurate order fulfillment, current documentation of customers, upkeep of operational computers and equipment for daily use.
- Assist in maintaining visual standards of products throughout the dispensary.
- Lead and assist in express sales, curbside sales, and online sales.
- Lead and assist in preparing express orders, curbside orders, and online orders.
- Monitoring registers when running low or when till counts are high.
- Direct all media and publicity inquiries to the Dispensary Manager/Assistant Manager.
- Assist Managers with research, communications, training, and additional projects & tasks as needed.
- Manages dispensary staff and dispensary operations when a Dispensary General Manager or Assistant General Manager is unavailable
Customer Service:
- Help to maintain the efficient workflow of orders and customers.
- Provide a warm welcome for all. Escort customers around the dispensary as needed.
- Ensures that inventory counts are completed regularly and in a timely manner.
- Trains other employees in cycle counting and inventory control.
- Develops and implements procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present.
- Validate customer info and availability in the METRC database.
- Accurately record customer data from all sales.
- Provide test results (COA’s) as requested by patrons.
- Record all customers notes in the POS and inventory control system.
On-Going:
- Keep up-to-date with training and personal education as required by state and local regulations.
- Attend and participate in shift change briefings and company meetings, suggest ideas and solutions for improving the customer experience as well as the employee experience.
- Uphold a culture of communication, encouragement, and positive support for peers, management, and customers.
- Readily locate or have on-hand current test results for all products.
Physical Requirements
As a Dispensary Lead, you will be required to stand for long periods of time, moving about in confined spaces, bend, stretch, and reach. Some heavy lifting is required from time to time. Must be able to perform basic office work; filing, organizing, printing. Must also be able to perform basic computing skills and Point-of-Sale duties.
Qualifications
Minimum high school education with 1-2 years customer service and/or inventory control experience preferably in a retail setting. Dispensary Leads must possess an acute sense of awareness for reading customers, listening to their needs, and presenting the right products as well as attention to detail for all inventory regulations. Having sales experience is important but not required. Compassion for customers and confidence in the cannabis knowledge base are key attributes that qualified candidates must have.
A willingness to learn, the grit to adapt to an ever changing environment, proficient on Windows, Mac, and Google platforms, are also ideal for Lead Dispensary Staff candidates.
Must be 21 years of age.
Must have a valid Nevada Cannabis Agent Card and have the card while performing any business-related activities for Pure Tonic.
Must have a valid driver’s license and provide fingerprints for background check for an agent card to be considered. May not have an excludable felony conviction or drug related offense according to CCB regulation.
Must have reliable transportation for travel to and from work.
Must be knowledgeable and be able to provide information on Cannabis and Cannabis related products.
Authority
Operates with direct supervision from Assistant Dispensary Manager and Dispensary Manager. Follows established policies and procedures and contributes to the development of new concepts, policies, and procedures as necessary to perform job duties and tasks.
