Summary

Pure Wafer focuses on creating efficiency for our customer base that includes most of the world's largest semiconductor manufacturers. As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee the production process within our facility in Prescott, AZ, ensuring efficient operations. Reporting to the Production Manager, your role requires strong operations knowledge and leadership skills to guide a team effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook will aid in reporting and communication. Your ability to manage resources and foster a collaborative environment will be essential in achieving our production goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities will include:
- Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers
- Directs /- 20 employees in the production department: lapping, polishing, S/E, incoming, presort, QC
- Initiates the planning, assigning, and directing of work
- Follows and adjusts production schedules in order to maximize work
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations
- Investigates accidents involving workers; completes the Supervisor’s Accident Investigation Report Form and participates in the Safety Committee
- Develops or revises work procedures to the company’s quality system
- Initiates and follows through on disciplinary actions
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department, yields, and employees
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, as well as assisting workers in solving work problems
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers towards achieving work goals.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
- 'Hands on' attitude, willing to pitch in & assist workers
- Ability to speak effectively before groups
- Execute written reports and correspondence
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to effectively manage email communication, and ability to “pick up the phone” to resolve issues
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Must be able to follow established policies and procedures and comply with regulatory requirements
- Must have the ability to recognize problems, recommend and implement solutions
- Must be well organized and possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities concurrently
- Must work well with others and be a team player
- Must possess a “can-do” attitude
- Must have the ability and desire to be proactive not just reactive; a questioning mindset
- Must have good math skills; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all unites of measure - compute rate, ratio, and percent, as well as draw and interpret bar graphs
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- AA degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, OR three years related experience and/or training, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, as well as procedure manuals, shipping and production schedules
